Folks! Let's start with the design parameter first. Physically, the Poco X2 has built with the glass + plastic materials that feel so solid and sturdy to hold and use. The front and back phase of the mobile protected with a corning gorilla glass 5.
However, the back is a mixture of gorilla glass with the plastic element. The gradient back finish of this phone looks so fresh, cool, and glossy. The P2I water repellent coating, which saves the mobile from dust and water drops, acts as an add-on advantage for the mobile. At the top of the smartphone, the IR blaster, and a secondary noise cancellation mic is positioned.
A speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a primary mic, and a type C charging port is set up at the bottom of the mobile. At left, we have a hybrid SIM slot, where we can insert 1 SIM + 2 SIM or 1 SIM + 1 SD card (expandable up to 512GB).
The right side is set up with a volume rocker key and a power button, which acts as a fingerprint scanner of Poco X2. The fingerprint scanner unlocks the mobile with medium-fast, and accuracy. The 208g weight of the phone grabs attention due to the presence of 4500mAh battery capacity. Overall, the design looks so fresh, stylish, and classy.
The 6.67-inch display of Poco X2 is an LCD panel display made of corning glass gorilla 5. Since the display has over 500 nits, there are no flaws in brightness, colour temperature, and colour contrasts. But the company could have given a super AMOLED display like Samsung Galaxy M31 and Samsung Galaxy M21, for this model.
But looking at the price and refresh rate, the LCD works seamlessly and excites the gamers and video lovers. The aspect ratio of the mobile sets at 20:9 and also has HDR 10 support. The face unlocks feature performs well with decent speed and accuracy.
120 Hz refresh rate display is its main selling point. The high rate works perfectly in 120 refresh rate supporting games. Though it has a very minimal lag due to the presence of the processor Snapdragon 730G, the high rate is a great and welcome move by the company for this price range.
Overall, the display is so bright, sharp, and reproduces punchy colours seamlessly.
The Performance of Poco X2 is handled by a powerful mid-range chipset Snapdragon 730G with Adreno 618 GPU. And, yes, we can play the games without any struggle and heating issues due to the powerful processor. The Poco X2 runs on the Android 10 operating system coated with the MIUI 11.
During usage, the OS feels so polished, and software feels so smooth and solid. The company provides UFS 2.1 flash storage to increase the read and write speeds. The head SAR value is set at 1.08w/kg, and body SAR value is set at 0.62 w/kg, which is a bit higher compared with Samsung Smartphones.
The company has promised that it won't run any ads on the mobile but, sadly, we see ads in some places. This acts as a negative note for the mobile. Overall, the performance is so exceptional, and for sure, it excites the intense gamers to play games in a 120hz refresh rate.
The Poco X2 has a Quad-camera setup---The primary 64MP (Sony IMX 686) camera with f1.9 pushes great quality shots in good lighting conditions. The highlights and details in images are highly preserved with impressive dynamic range. The camera has a dedicated night mode in which the output shots are good and offers usable images in extreme darkness by pushing the ISO up to 15000.
The next 8MP wide-angle camera with f2.2 offers rich images with great dynamic range, and the colours in pictures look so punchy, sharp, and crisp.
The next 2MP micro camera with f2.4 performs so averagely and offers very average quality images. The company could have given at least a 5MP macro camera to produce good quality shots.
The 2MP depth sensor splits the subject from the background intensively to offers high-quality portraits. In portraits, the edge detection and background blur have improved so well in Poco X2. The dual punch-hole on display offers 20MP primary camera with f2.2 and 2MP depth sensor cameras.
The primary 20MP selfie camera performs so well by capturing clear and detailed selfie shots with good dynamic ranges. The 2MP depth camera works well in splitting the subject from the background with decent edge detection.
The 4K videos can be recorded at 30fps with the electronic stabilisation feature. This is a unique feature in this price segment comparing with its competitors. The 4K video outputs have better dynamic ranges. The selfie video can be recorded in 1080p with the same electronic stabilisation feature.
The Poco X2 powered with a 4500mAh battery capacity supported with a 27w fast charger. But if you are a battery oriented user, you might consider Moto One Fusion Plus or Samsung Galaxy M31, which provides a high amount of battery capacity. You can read the review from our site.
Approximately it would take 1 hr 30 mins to reach 100% from 0%. Overall, the battery performance is so good and stays alive for around 10hrs - 12 hrs, when we play 120Hz refresh rate games in high-resolution graphics.
The Poco X2 price in India set at ₹ 17,499 for a base variant of 6GB | 64GB. The mobile launch with a price tag of ₹ 15,999 for a base variant, but now the price has got increased due to the GST hike.
For the same price range, many companies offer better smartphones to withstand in the competition. But still, Poco has done justifications for the price by matching its power-packed features with its Price.
We have expected Poco F2 as a successor of Poco F1. But we have got mid-ranger as a next launch. If you are an intense gamer and look for good battery life and camera performance, Poco X2 is never the wrong choice for the money.
